Sora Shirai (born 2002) lives and skates in Kanagawa, Japan. Encouraged by his parents he began skateboarding at five years of age. At just 17 Sora had a full length skateboarding part in Blind Skateboard's video Time Change. He is ranked 4th in the world rankings.

In February 2020 he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee while filming. He underwent surgery in April 2020, after he heard about the postponement of the Olympic Games, and required about five months of rehabilitation.
